Tasting Note: Rich, ripe and darkly fruited with notes of black cherry, black raspberry, black salt and smoked meat, finishing
with soft approachable tannins and bright acidity. 

Viticulture and Vinification: Organic. Hand harvested from 40 year old vines. The soils are mostly sand and gravel which

provide excellent drainage. The rich vineyard of 8176 vines is 1 hectare, 50 ares, 20 centiares produces on average some 8000

bottles. The wine spends time in neutral oak for 18-24 months.


THE DOMAINE: A vineyard since the 17th century, Viaud Lalande was purchased by the Durand-Teyssier family in the early

1960’s. With only 1.5ha of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, Phillipe and his son Thomas focus the production of one label Viaud-

Lalande. A region of excellent terroir, the wine awakens the senses, dense and concentrated on the nose, delicate and velvet in

the mouth. Only 9000 bottles each harvest, Château de Viaud-Laland is a true representative of the land loved and a Lalande

that shines bright.
